Per Puck Daddy’s Sean Leahy via Twitter, the NHL has disciplined Penguins forward Matt Cooke for his high blindside hit above that knocked out Artie Anisimov during last night’s 8-3 rout over the Rangers. He gets two games, meaning Cooke is out for Monday’s MSG rematch and will also miss Thursday, Dec.3 against Colorado. He […]Read More >>

There’s no point in discussing the end result of another shameless performance from the Rangers, who were predictably pummeled by Sidney Crosby and the Pens 8-3 at Mellon Arena Saturday night. So, Sid The Kid did what he always does even if the victim was poor Steve Valiquette- scoring his fourth career hat trick while […]Read More >>

Boy does this team suck. Marc Staal scores early off a nice rush to the backhand and of course they come apart at the seams with Geno and Sid igniting three straight. Even sadder is that after Chris Drury and teammates stick checked and watched Crosby score, I told my Dad another was coming. Sure […]Read More >>

For over fifty minutes at the Prudential Center, this Devils-Islanders game looked like so many others (including the teams’ first matchup of the year) – tight, tense and spunky as the Devils led only 2-1 despite dominating pretty much from the middle of the first period on. Not one, but several hit posts and crossbars further […]Read More >>

It’s a busy Saturday with another full slate following yesterday’s off Thanksgiving or as it’s referred to as Black Friday for the super sale madness/insanity. No. We didn’t get anything, opting instead to grab some new jeans and cool shirts on Turkey Eve. Hey. We got great deals! Best of all, my new diet has […]Read More >>

It seems as if after almost every Devils game these days I’m lamenting how the Devils lose a key player while winning and yesterday afternoon was no different. This time, it would be David Clarkson who left the game early in the first period after taking a Zdeno Chara slapshot on the ankle where no padding could cushion the […]Read More >>

Okay. So, it’s not the Rangers night. That much was obvious early with the Lightning scoring twice and continuing to dominate a game that’s now 4-zip. Too much Steven Stamkos and Marty St. Louis. Andrej Meszaros also made a great defensive play to deny Marian Gaborik a breakaway. And no. That wasn’t a penalty.
If Artem […]

Rollie in net – same 18 skaters. Pens in Baby Blues, Isles in White.
My player to watch: Andy Sutton. He has been sch a shut down presence, and the fact that he has been so healthy this season, he has been quite impressive. Especially when he gets to lay the smackdown on his opponents.

Will be reporting at the Isles game today, for a change. I havent doe this in about a month, so it should be fun. I will update my postings after each period.
I expect a much different flow of the game – especially in periods 2 and 3 from what happened on Wednesday night with the […]

It’ll soon be the day after Thanksgiving which means plenty of puck all day, including the Devils in Beantown with a noon start and the Islanders hosting the Pens at 2 while Buffalo visits Philly in between. As for the Blueshirts, they’ll be where they were over the turkey, stuffing, string bean caserole, yams and […]Read More >>
