Stars outmuscle Devils 4-2

By at 31 December, 2008, 10:50 pm

Playing their second back-to-back in the last six nights, the Devils looked even more flat than they did last night and yet still had a chance to tie the game late before Loui Eriksson’s second goal of the night – an empty-netter – clinched the Stars’ 4-2 win in Dallas earlier tonight.
Not much to really […]

Rangers New Year Wishes

By at 31 December, 2008, 5:30 pm

Tonight marks the final day of 2008 and I’ll be raising the roof over at a friend’s later as a New Year is upon us. Though I did read something interesting in that the countdown will include an extra second meaning 61 seconds until 2009 instead of 60.
A rare phenomenon. Speaking of which, the Rangers […]

Devils win in Salvador’s return

By at 30 December, 2008, 10:00 pm

Hey Vanna, can I buy a Vowel?
Maybe a goalie?

Do you think Milton Bradley would mind? I wish I knew Photoshop, or I would be on this….
Will he play tomorrow? Will […]

Gutless

By at 29 December, 2008, 6:50 pm

They play a decent first winning two scraps with even Nigel Dawes fighting Mike Comrie after a clean hard hit on Kyle Okposo.
Then, Mister Softee Dmitri Kalinin gets pushed off the puck by Trent Hunter bumping into his own teammate Chris Drury allowing Hunter to feed an open Mike Sillinger for an easy goal.
Does he […]

By at 29 December, 2008, 4:00 pm

According to Russian investigators, former Ranger top prospect Alexei Cherepanov reportedly doped using performance-enhancing drugs after analyzing blood and urine tests before his tragic death after collapsing on the Omsk team bench on Oct.13. His loss not only came way too soon but could really be felt for years to come in a Ranger organization that lacks top scoring talent.

Many positives heading to the Garden tonight

By at 29 December, 2008, 9:03 am

With the 10 game streak done, the Isles are playing much better lately, especially on the defensive side of the rink. Not allowing much on 5 on 5 lately, ironically after the comments by Witt, are a good sign that the team is improving.
As we all know, Islander teams improve when they go to […]

Lack of effort in latest debacle alarming

By at 27 December, 2008, 11:15 pm

There was little effort again from a Ranger team who allowed their bitter rival Devils to push them around in their own building during a 4-2 loss last night. They’re heading the wrong way.
